The Matlock and District Bowls League can trace its history back to the 1930’s, and has been running in its current format since the 1970's. Most clubs are located in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales around Matlock; but we also have a number of clubs located in the High Peak area, especially around Buxton. Matches comprise of 4 pairs playing up to 21, and are played on Tuesday evenings from mid-spring to the end of Summer. It is a friendly but competitive league, with two divisions allowing for promotion/relegation; each division having its own sought after trophies. |

Fixtures secretary 2025The future of our league is at risk. We need people to come forward and take on some of the work for 2025. We particularly need somebody who will come forward and, with help and support, take on the role of Fixtures Secretary. If nobody comes forward then it will mean the end of our league. | |
