The AGM will be held at Barrfield on MOnday 21st October at 12.00am. Please be aware that the car park is not available on the day as the Club are having work done.

Congratulations to Winton for winning the competition against players from the Rest of the League. Unfortunately it rained for most of the afternoon.
The presentation for winners was made by Ian Blythe. The raffle was drawn before the players enjoyed the buffet.

The winners were Winton. Phil Pickford, Vinny Walker, John Armstrong, Ian Blythe, Derek Hanson, Patricia Pope and John McAuley. The other finalists were Langworthy.

Harry Howarth winner
Congratulations to Steve (Curly) Pritchard (Barrfield) the winner of the competition beating Jeff Mason (Langworthy). The other semi finalists were Bob Helps (Height) and Brian Johnson |(Chandos).
Roy Poole funeral
Sadly Roy (Albert Park) died on Tuesday 30th July. His funeral is at Agecroft on 19th August at 1pm.
Harry Howarth Competition - final 16
All preliminary games are at Ordsall on Tuesday 6th August. Can all players aim to arrive for 10.30am as the draw will be made at 10.45 am.

5-a-side competition
All teams have one entry in this competition. Please decide if you wish to enter another team (£5 for this extra team) for the competition on 10th and 12th September. If you are entering a second team you need to nominate the players in A or B team. The draw and greens will be decided at the meeting on 2nd September.

Congratulations to Pete Largan (Chandos) the winner of the competition and Steve "Curly" Pritchard (Barrfield) the runner up.
Pete beat Bob Helps (Height) and Steve beat Joy Bach (Barrield) in the semi finals.
Thanks to Chandos and Brian Johnson for hosting the competition on what turned out to be a sunny day.

Best v The Rest competition
The competition was held at Moorlands Bowling Club on 14th September followed by a buffet and the presentation of cups and prizes. The winners this year were The Rest, winning by 14 points.

The Competition will be held on Thursday 14th September at Moorlands. Arrive at 11 am to start 11.30am. There will be a cold buffet following the game.
Players for The Rest team are: Alan Scoresby (Captain), Bill Dale (Albert Park), Brian Johnson and Pete Largon (Chandos), Ken Watson and Margaret Barrett (Height) Mike Catterall (Langworthy), , Paul Johnson (Moorlands), Irene Leslie (Ordsall), and Geoff Parkes (Victoria Park).

Congratulations to Brian Johnson (Chandos) the winner of the competition and to Ken Watson (Height) who was beaten in a close game which finished 21-20. The other semi-finalists were Bob Helps (Height) and Bill Dale (Albert Park).
The sun shone all day and Frank Aldred thanked all the spectators who turned up to watch the match.
