- Matters arising There were no matters arising.
- Officers’ Reports There were no officer’s reports other than those to be discussed under specific agenda headings. The Secretary reiterated his offer to e-mail any member who provided their e-mail address with details of competitions and any other interesting league matters. To protect e-mail addresses he said he would use the BCC (blind carbon copy) to prevent mass distribution of personal e-mail addresses.
- New Players Handicaps. Handicaps were agreed for 7 players who have now completed in excess of 4 games. One was amended as their club delegate thought it too generous.
- Mixed Pairs Draw. 24 entries this year for the event being hosted by Goostrey Bowling Club. The draw took place and will be posted on the web site together with approximate start times. Again one delegate attending in place of a captain had no knowledge of the competition, despite the fact that entry forms and a reminder had been sent out. The Secretary also knew of one other club where neither a notice nor verbal communication had occurred.
- Jack Bryning. 18 teams entered for the Jack Bryning floodlit pairs competition and the draw took place. The preliminary round will take place on Tuesday 15th September with round one taking place on Thursday 17th September. This will take us to the final stages of the competition which will held at Mere Parish Club. Monday/Tuesday 21st/22nd Quarterfinals, Semi-finals on Thursday 24th with the final on Friday 25th. All games to commence at 6.30pm
- Presentation Evening. The meeting was reminded that the Presentation Evening would be held on Friday 27th November at Mere Parish Club, and as usual clubs were asked to provide a prize for the raffle.
- Any Other Business. Bernard Mc.Lenaghan asked for clarification on a couple of points re the new format for the Jack Bryning. These were discussed and the Secretary would pen a few notes to supplement the present rules. If it is agreed to carry on with the pairs format some rule revisions would be needed at the 2016 AGM. Maryke Todd suggested that a calendar of events including competition-closing dates be posted on the web site. It was generally agreed that this would be a good idea and the Secretary was asked to provide this from the 2016 season.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.40pm
