i.Correspondence
Jim McGurk – From 1st September 2025, the BCGBA membership fee will increase to £20.
ii.Member’s email – The Sec read out a series of emails between herself and the member re: the Mixed Pairs competition held at the Church Inn.
The member wished to highlight the excessive cost of the bar food at the Church, the lack of available snacks and suitable food for members with special dietary needs. She was concerned that some members of the KFBL will not support competitions held at greens which are supported by commercial establishments because of the increased food costs.
The Sec informed the member that she would ensure that her concerns were raised at Committee and asked that she ask her friends, who had been disadvantaged, to contact the Sec directly. No further correspondence has been received. Further she pointed out that snacks including special dietary needs were available on the day.
Following discussion the Committee asked the Sec to respond to the member informing her that this league:
- would continue to hold competitions at different greens in rotation; and
- wishes to support all clubs specially those whose greens are provided by and supported by commercial establishments.
- Mixed Pairs Competition 3rd August at the Church Inn:
17 Mixed Pairs began play at 11am on the very wet Sunday morning. The sun burst through for most of the day and members enjoyed playing and supporting some excellent bowling. The final was an all Victory Hall affair; the winners were Alisha Marshall and Bruce Tully beating Tracey Goodwin and Mark Richardson. The mini plate was won by Brian and Sandra Jones.
- Jack Brynning Competition Sunday 21st September 2025 at KBC at 10am
This competition does not appear in the Rules – to be addressed at the AGM.
17 teams have entered on a first come first served basis.
KBC will:
- provide refreshments so members are asked to support the club;
- manage the competition, but may need volunteers to measure; and
- organise the raffle – prizes will be welcomed.
- Extraordinary Meeting (EGM) Sunday 17th August 2025 to be held at Knutsford Bowling Club at 7pm.
The EGM Minutes were adopted, signed and dated at this meeting because:

Keith Poskett asked if there was any interest from clubs to join the League next season.
The Sec informed the meeting that LMRSA would like to enter another team
