TEAM KNOCKOUT

The ladies team knockout was played today at Knutsford Bowling Club. Huge thanks to Jackie & Keith Poskitt for being fabulous hosts. Credit to the greensman for a superb green. All four teams bowled extremely well in the baking heat which made conditions difficult at times. Mere A just edged out Crosstown B and High Legh overcame Railway B to set up a High Legh V Mere A final.  After the first four there was just 1 point in it with High Legh 124 and Mere A 123.  High Legh continued to play well and the second four increased the lead with the match ending at High Legh 208 and Mere A 170. Congratulations to High Legh who are this years winners of the team knockout.

2024 LEAGUE COMPETITIONS

This years league pairs will be held on Saturday 18th May at Crosstown Bowling Club. 10.30 start. Refreshments will be available.

The Handicapped individual will be held on Sunday 8th September at Mere Bowling Club. 10.30 start. Depending on number of entries.

Carole will send out the entry forms for both competitions to team captains in plenty of time before each competition.

PRESENTATION EVENING AND AGM

The presentation evening will be held at Shaw Heath Social Club on Friday 4th October 2024  at 7pm.

This years AGM will be on Sunday 3rd November 2024 11am at Knutsford Bowling Club. 

IMPORTANT PARKING CHANGES

CRANFORD & TIMPERLEY BOWLING GREENS

Timperley Bowling Green now has the same parking arrangements as Cranford. 

You have to put your car registration into a pin pad to avoid fines, The pin pad will be kept in the bowling hut.

Please liaise with the team captains at both venues to ensure your vehicle is registered when arriving.

HALE & HERMITAGE BC

PLEASE NOTE:

Hale Ladies is now called Hale & Hermitage Bowling club. The Green Finder has been updated to reflecft this.

All of there home games will be at Hermitage Bowling Green. They will NOT be returning to the Hale Village Green.

Urgent Church Inn

CHURCH INN PARKING NEW ARRANGEMENTS

To all teams who are playing at the Church Inn in either league games or competitions.

Unforunately Cheshire East Council have insisted that the school gates are padlocked shut during the school holidays.

Therefore we can no longer park on the school car park. We are still not allowed to use the pub car park.

Please park opposite St Wilfreds church where there are some car parking spaces on the grass verge. You can also park on the verge between the school and the pub car park.

Please DO NOT under any circumstances park in front of the locked school gates. The farmer needs tractor access to his field.
