Indoor daytime league, Individual names required to assess how many might play. For a club to say we may be interested does not reflect the interest so if you could obligue, that would be great. thanks As you will all be aware, outdoor bowling takes place in the summer during the afternoons. In the winter, many people of a certain age fear driving in the dark, especally at this time of year. It is part of the job of the management committee to promote and develop the indoor game and, following a suggestion from Peter Beech at Fenton Pvt., I would invite you to speak to your players/members, to see if they would be interested in having a daytime league as well as the evening league. I dont see that only your existing club could enter but new teams made up from bowlers from other clubs or social bowlers, for example, I play at Burslem CC, my wife at Norton and a couple of friends at Fenton and Baddeley Green, so we could make up a team and play at either one of these venues if available or at another venue,, but it is only an example. if sufficient people show an interest then we will have to get together to decide on venues and the number of games, ie 3 pairs or 4 pairs whether to play mornings from say 11am until about 2 pm or 3pm, or to play afternoons between say 1.30 pm and about 4pm missing the school and works traffic. Many people who play in the existing league also social bowl so, for many, this would not be taking away any more of their time. please either text or email me with your name and either yes interested or not interested at this time. Notice of MotionNotice s of Motion.
Notice from the Treasurer To increase the registration fee per player from £2.00 to £2.50p Reason, The treasurer has to pay the ESMBA for registrations by the 31st October each year. This amounts to a pre payment before the leagues fees are collected in March the following year. With an estimated 333 members, the payment in 2024 25 is likely to be about £2330.00. As we have spent over a £1000 on new jacks, the money in the bank is barely sufficient to ensure the running of the association. A fine, of an amount to be determined, maybe to an individual player, or a club, possibly on a sliding scale, for any infringement of the rules, REASON, Simply to try and prevent any breaches.

FOOTWEAR AT MATCHESFOOTWARE Would all clubs ensure this season that all their players have a change of footware and that it is used before stepping on any mat. There is a rule in the book covering this but it is common courtesy to do so. Rule 7 Footwear Bowling Shoes or any smooth heel-less footwear must be worn while playing on the rink mat, and these must be other than the ones worn whilst travelling to the venue. | |
