The Trafford Evening Bowling League was founded in 1981 by Jean Everall and Beryl Kirby. The original 1st Division Championship Trophy was donated by Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council, hence the name of the league. Since its humble beginning it has now grown to three divisions, currently consisting of 36 teams. Matches are played on Thursday evening and teams are to consist of 10 players (men and women), there must be a minimum of one lady and one gentleman in each team.

We stage three individual competitions each season which are:

  • The Jean Everall Memorial League Merit
  • The Beryl Kirby Memorial League Handicap
  • The Alan Wilkinson Memorial Award of Merit

We also hold a mixed pairs competition which is:

  • The Doris Armson Memorial Pairs
